A pedestrian has been hit by a tram in Manchester metropolis centre.
The collision occurred in Market Road at round 1.15pm at present (March 2).
An ambulance attended however no critical accidents have been reported, police stated.
No arrests have been made.
Metrolink trams on the Bury line to Piccadilly Station have been unable to function for round 40 minutes whereas emergency staff handled the incident.
At round 1.20pm Manchester Metrolink tweeted: “As a consequence of an incident at Market Road, we’re at the moment unable to function the Bury providers to Piccadilly Station.
“Bury Companies are working to Victoria Station solely.
“Please test again for updates.”

A Higher Manchester Police spokesperson stated: “At round 1.15pm at present (Tuesday 2 March 2021) police have been known as to stories of a collision between a tram and a pedestrian on Market Road, Manchester.
“An ambulance attended and there aren’t any critical accidents reported.
“No arrests have been made.”
