Ex-Bolton, Arsenal, and Sheffield United goalkeeper joins League Two club

Former Bolton goalkeeper Mark Howard has joined Wanderers’ League Two rivals Scunthorpe United.

The 34-year-old has joined the Iron on a deal till the top of the season.

Although the switch window is now closed till January, Howard was permitted to affix as he was a free agent and may be a part of a brand new membership at any time.

Howard spent two years with the Trotters between 2016 and 2018, and made 39 appearances for the membership in that point.

He started his taking part in profession at Arsenal however by no means made an look for the Gunners, leaving in 2006 to affix Cardiff Metropolis.

He didn’t play for the Bluebirds too, and later moved to St Mirren in 2007.

He remained at St Mirren Park till 2010, when he moved to Aberdeen the place he stayed for one season.

Howard then penned a short-term take care of Blackpool, earlier than transferring to Sheffield United in 2012.

He made 104 appearances for the Blades between then and 2016, and joined Bolton when his Bramall Lane deal expired.
