Talking after the match Solskjaer praised his workforce for his or her efforts and defined why the first-half efficiency had been a bit rusty.
“We realized the gamers must play to maintain that sharpness,” he informed BT Sport. “A few of these lads have not performed for some time and it confirmed. We received, we gave a debut to a younger lad, it has been a great evening.
“It’s that sharpness you lack when you do not play frequently, some have not performed since lockdown, for me it was a great train, it is job finished, minutes underneath the belt and on to Copenhagen.”
